Where to Stay

Towns and Hotels

All of the five towns are unique and worth exploring. We recommend staying in Monterosso, where the ceremony will be held, or Manarola (our favorite town). There are many hotels and Airbnb’s available and we are planning on negotiating a group rate at Hotel Pasquale in Monterosso. Please let us know if you are interested in staying there.

What to Do

Activities in Cinque Terre

Cinque Terre is located in the Liguria region of Italy tucked along the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. The region is known for fresh seafood, focaccia and trofie pesto pasta.

EAT & DRINK

It’s hard to find a bad meal in any of the towns but we do have a few favorites. Cambusa has amazing focaccia and sandwiches. It is take away only and is located in Manarola. Aristide, also in Manarola, is one of our favorite breakfast spots. They have delicious pastries and serve breakfast (think eggs and bacon) until 11am. Nessun Dorma overlooks Manarola and offers the best views of the Mediterranean Sea. They also offer pesto making classes. Download their app to put yourself on the waitlist before they open for the day. Torre Aurora is located in Monterosso and has spectacular views of the Mediterranean. Fun fact, the restaurant is in a tower that was built in the year 1000 to fend off pirate attacks.

EXPLORE

Most of the towns are free of cars so you will be doing most of your exploring by foot. Trains run frequently between the five towns and no town is more than fifteen minutes away from any other. There is also a ferry that travels between four of the five towns. You can purchase a round trip ticket or a day pass and the ferries come about once an hour. Cinque Terre also has a trail network, Via dell’Amore (Lovers’ Lane), connecting all five towns if you feel like hiking. They do get washed out from time to time but we will do our best to update you on their status before your departure date.
